Bangkok · Heritage Overhaul

I brought in my late father's Seiko, a model I remembered him wearing throughout the 1980s. It had been sitting in a drawer for years and I wasn't sure it was worth fixing. The team took time to explain what the watch needed and what was actually achievable — they didn't push for anything beyond what made sense. The result was better than I hoped, and the written log they sent with it is something I plan to keep with the watch permanently.

Nonthaburi · Clean & Regulate

My ETA-based automatic had been running about two minutes fast every day. I had it cleaned and regulated at Mainspring Loft. They provided a sheet showing the timing readings they took before starting and after completion — the difference was substantial. The watch now runs within about five seconds a day. I appreciated that they explained what they found rather than just handing it back and naming a price.

Bangkok · Quick Service Check

I used the Quick Check service on a Swiss watch I'd recently bought secondhand. I wanted to know its actual condition before wearing it regularly. The note I received was clear and specific — the crown needed attention and the seals were due for replacement, but the movement itself was in reasonable shape. I ended up booking a clean as well. The wait time on the quick check was about three days, which is what I was told at drop-off.

Pathum Thani · Heritage Overhaul

Brought in an old Omega that belonged to my grandfather — hadn't run in over twenty years. I was realistic about expectations going in, but the overhaul went better than I thought it would. The sourcing of a replacement crown took a few extra weeks, which they communicated clearly. The watch now runs and the service log is thorough. This isn't a fast process but I didn't expect it to be. Happy with how it was handled.

Bangkok · Clean & Regulate

I've used a few repair services in Bangkok over the years and the main difference here is the documentation. Getting actual timing data before and after is something I hadn't experienced before. The work took slightly longer than the initial estimate — they found a worn jewel during disassembly — but they updated me before doing anything extra. Pricing was clear throughout.

Chiang Mai · Quick Service Check

I was in Bangkok for a week and brought in a watch I'd been wondering about for a while. The Quick Check was ideal — they gave me a written summary I could take home and think about. No one tried to tell me it urgently needed a full service. I've since contacted them about the regulated service and I'll be sending the watch down via courier when I'm ready. Good people to deal with.

Service Case Studies

A closer look at how three particular jobs went from initial enquiry to completed service.

Case Study 01 — Heritage Overhaul

The Situation

An inherited Swiss watch from the 1960s, last serviced in the 1990s. The owner had no documentation of previous work and was unsure about the condition of the movement. The original crown had been replaced at some point with an incorrect part.

What Was Done

Full movement overhaul. Three weeks were spent sourcing a period-appropriate crown from a supplier in Germany. The case was cleaned but not polished — the owner preferred to retain the original surface character. A complete stage log was maintained throughout.

The Outcome

Movement running within ±8 seconds per day. Original character retained. Owner received a full log covering intake, disassembly, parts sourced, timing before and after, and final checks. Total duration: 5 weeks.

"The log is as important to me as the repair itself. That's something I'll pass on with the watch."

Case Study 02 — Clean & Regulate

The Situation

A daily-wear automatic purchased three years prior, running approximately +90 seconds per day — well outside what the movement was designed to produce. The owner had noticed the drift worsening over the previous six months.

What Was Done

Full movement disassembly, ultrasonic clean, relubrication at all required points, and regulation. Pre-service timing showed +92 seconds/day in crown-up position. The movement was regulated across six positions over two days post-clean.

The Outcome

Post-service timing: +4 seconds/day average across positions — within the movement manufacturer's specification. Owner received the before/after timing sheet. Duration: 6 working days.

"Seeing the numbers side by side made the service feel worth it in a concrete way."

Case Study 03 — Quick Check Leading to Service

The Situation

A secondhand purchase of unknown service history. The owner wasn't certain whether it needed attention or whether the previous owner had maintained it well. He wanted an independent assessment before deciding whether to wear it regularly.

What Was Done

Quick Service Check performed first. The written note identified dried lubrication in the movement, a worn seal at the crown, and slight pitting on the caseback gasket. The owner chose to proceed with a Clean & Regulate based on this note.

The Outcome

Movement cleaned and regulated to ±7 seconds/day. New crown seal fitted. Owner now has a documented baseline for the watch and knows what was done at each stage. Total duration from first drop-off to collection: 10 working days.

"The quick check was the right starting point. I left knowing exactly what needed doing."
